Author: All is not well in the world of glamour porn. Seem Michael isn’t happy with the new owners and is taking his toys and going home. Things seemed a little sketchy when Spearmint Rhino started to release productions outside of the Ninn Worx_SR brand.
It’s a media company, that spun off another media company to produce the same kind of movies. I’m not sure that was a good idea.
NORCO, Calif. — Director Michael Ninn has split from Ninn Worx_SR after a long-running dispute with Spearmint Rhino company management, according to Ninn.
The end of Ninn’s involvement with Ninn Worx, a company he founded, marks a new journey, a new company and a new name for the auteur. Now known as IMNINN, the director is working on new multimedia projects in the wake of the acrimonious split.

NORCO, Calif. - After an intensive and exhaustive schedule making his adult fantasy epic The Four, director Michael Ninn has taken a hiatus from directing for Ninn Worx_SR.
“I understand Michael needs to take a break after working so hard on The Four,” said Kathy Vercher, president and COO of Ninn Worx_SR. “He’s put everything into this movie and we’re going to ensure The Four gets the attention and recognition it deserves. The Four will be a movie that people will remember Michael Ninn and Ninn Worx_SR for years to come.”
NORCO, Calif. — The second contract girl in two days has parted ways with Ninn Worx_SR, the girl in question this time being petite blonde Jana Jordan. As with yesterday’s identical announcement regarding Nikki Kane, however, there appear to be no hard feelings between the parties.
“I wanted to take my direction somewhere else,” Jordan told AVN. “The look I wanted is a little bit different. I love Michael’s movies and his creativity, but I thought it was time to do stuff on my own. I called them up and I let them know, and they understood, and they were really supportive. They’re like, ‘You want to go in that direction, then we’re not going to hold you,’ so they let me go. No fighting.”Click below to read more:
NORCO, Calif. — Performer Nikki Kane announced on her MySpace blog today that she has parted ways with contract company Ninn Worx_SR.
Saying it was “an amicable dissolution,” Kane wrote that she is “very zealous about this whole occurrence and plan to take my career in a new direction; one far more suited to my current mindset and stage in life.”
In an official statement to AVN on the matter, company head Michael Ninn said, “We love Nikki, and we understand that she is making the decision to move on, and we support her in that. We will miss her. We wish her well, and we’re so sorry to see her go. And we’re really going to miss her when it comes up to the promotions for The Four, because she’s got a big role in that. NORCO, Calif. – Ninn Worx_SR has made the full-length trailer for Michael Ninn’s adult fantasy epic The Four available for download on the company’s official website.
Currently in post-production, The Four is a hardcore take on the Hollywood movie 300 complete with CG effects, wire work and massive battle sequences. The trailer debuted at the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, screening at the Ninn Worx_SR booth while leading ladies Brea Bennett, Cassidey, Nikki Kane and Renee Perez posed in their original costumes from the movie.
“We should be on the street in late May with the actual finished product,” said John Gray, CEO of Ninn Worx_SR. “What’s important for us is to be up for every potential award. I come from a different background, but I’ve watched my fair share of adult movies and I’ve never seen anything like this, period. It blows away what Guccione did with Caligula.”
According to Gray, The Four is expected to cost “north of $400,000″ due to extensive CG work and other hi-tech special effects. The trailer showcases these visuals without a hint of sex or nudity.
“Shooting the sex is the easy part of this project, given Michael’s ability,” said Gray. “For the average person, shooting the sex Michael captures would be difficult, but we all know what Michael can do. The horses, spears, the music score, CG backgrounds, slow motion, wire work – that’s the complicated aspect of the movie. It’s really about the big picture.”
In the big picture, Gray believes The Four will pay off as a promotion for the Spearmint Rhino clubs and the Ninn Worx_SR contract girls. He noted that the merger between Ninn Worx and the lucrative gentlemen’s club chain allowed the movie to produced on a scale that would be impossible for any other adult producer to achieve.
“Where a lot of companies are prohibited from doing something like this by cost vs. benefit analysis, we weren’t barred by that because we were looking for a product that would get our name out there,” said Gray. “There’s an intangible benefit beyond selling the DVD itself.”
